← Cleaning River Mpaga in Western Uganda, the river runs from the Rwenzori Mountains through over 7 Districts in the region. This and many other rivers are facing increasing plastic pollution. I am running a river cleanup campaign againist plastics and am blaming businesses with no consideration of what happens in the after use cycle of the product packaging or material part of it.

← As people dump plastics in rivers, they are ending up in our lakes and seas. River Mpanga pours its plastics in Lake George as the River Nile collects from over 4 countries and takes to the Mediterranean sea, then to the oceans. This makes plastic pollution a leading threat to our water bodies, aquatic life, bird life and human life since we directly survive on these water bodies.

As  Coordinator of the Fridays For Future Uganda, movement my work is to ensure continuity of action and ensure growth of the movement. We now have a network of 30,000 students, 4 universities and have started to register massive public turn up at the climate strikes.
