The Plastic Effect - Part 3.

Uganda's top 10 plastic polluters and why they need to take action.

As I write this, I have launched a challenge to collect 10,000 killograms of plastic waste from the environment. The campaign is aimed at getting companies to act now and #EndPlasticPollution. I will continue to rally more voices to demand for this action and also will not fear to name and shame the companies generating the plastic killing environment.

For 9 days to Christmas 2019, I embarked on an effort to find out the companies that are generating more plastic for consumption in the festive season. The list was sampled on several plastic collection centers, supermarkets and shops in Kampala City. On Christmas as the 10th day, I still went out to find out which brands were enjoyed most mostly with people in areas of Kasanga, Ggaba and Kabalagala in Kampala.

For the last other 10 days, I have worked on improving the list to capture more details and find out more companies contributing to this ever increasing plastic pollution. And now I can boldly say that these are the;
